Parin Kumar Rajiv Ladva was born on March 23, 2008 at 12:13am.  He weighed 5 lbs, 14 ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long.  He was quite alert and seemed to recognize our voices immediately!  He was born at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, California.

Parin means “champion” and is also another name for Lord Ganesh.  Kumar means “prince” and is also his maternal grandfather’s middle name.  Rajiv is his father’s first name and it is customary in the Ladva family to carry on the father’s first name.

We created this website to share pictures and video clips of Parin as he grows up.  We’ll update this site monthly until he’s a year old…and then we’ll see how it goes.    This site was mainly created so that Parin’s extended family in India and England could watch him grow up from afar and feel as if they were a part of his life as well.
